30th Bike Across Kansas featured in KCStar

Today's KCStar has an article about the 30th anniversary of Bike Across Kansas. The 2004 BAK is concluding today:
Every summer, cycling enthusiasts have taken to the back roads of Kansas, enjoying its people, places and landscapes from Colorado to Missouri.

The traveling road show continues this year, the 30th Bike Across Kansas, with about 850 riders starting the 489-mile journey from near Mount Sunflower and ending Saturday in Leavenworth.

Roger Kenny, 56, of Wichita, has been on all 30 rides and is now an event organizer. He recalled the first ride in 1975, which was a test of the Bike Across the United States route.
