Bikes and Trikes for Tykes in Kansas City gets a new home
Submitted by Brent Hugh on Tue, 11/09/2004 - 4:32pm
Bikes and Trikes for Tykes now has a new web site and will soon have a new and more permanent home in North Kansas City.
Bikes and Trikes for Tykes had been in their new home in the Blue Ridge Mall (I-70 and Sterling in Kansas City) when they discovered that the mall will soon be razed to make space for a new super WalMart center. After a long search for a new home, they have found a new location in North Kansas City, just across the river from downtown KCMO.
Bikes & Trikes for Tykes fixes up thousands of donated bikes each year to give to young kids and Christmastime and to donate to a number of charities that give away bikes to those who need them.
And Bikes & Trikes for Tykes can always use your help! Several work days are planned this fall to get ready for the Christmas season. Bikes & Trikes for Tykes will also certainly be looking for help in moving many thousands of bikes to their new location. The move most be made by December 4th, 2004.
