Bike Safety for college students
Submitted by Brent Hugh on Fri, 12/17/2004 - 6:30pm
As part of its Explore KC campaign, the Mid-America Regional Council has produced a bicycle safety brochure for college students:
For many students, the bicycle represents more than just a quick way to get around campus — it is an inexpensive, environmentally safe form of transportation. Bicycling to and from class can help keep students in good physical shape, and many students find than they save timebecause parking is more convenient and closer to campus. The brochure can be ordered from the MARC web page and a downloadable version is also available.
The brochure focuses on safety, but also gives tips on how to find the right bike, the best ways to avoid bike theft, and how to wear helmets and other safety equipment properly.
