KC northland river trail plan moves forward

A KCStar article compares the Missouri to famous rivers in Europe--the Seine, the Danube, the Thames:
Soon, Northland residents will have similar access to the banks of the Missouri River, and many people in the area are excited.

“Everybody loves walking along the river,” said Neil Davidson, chairman of the Platte County park board.

Last month, the Platte County Commission adopted the master plan for the 20-mile Missouri Riverfront Trail that will cross a newly built levee and connect two popular Northland parks.

The trail will begin at the Clay County line and end near Interstate 435.
