Public asked to car pool, bus, bicycle, and walk to save fuel
posted by Brent Hugh at 9/02/2005 12:08:00 AM
According to an article in the Kansas City Business Journal:
"High demand for crude oil, gasoline and diesel fuels in the United States and worldwide resulted in high prices at the pump throughout the summer," Anita Randolph, director of the Missouri Energy Center, said in a written release. "The destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina adds another burden on petroleum markets and Missourians who face the higher prices at the pump.

"The best defense for Missouri motorists is fuel conservation. Car pools, public transit, bicycling and walking as well as keeping your vehicle in good repair will help reduce your transportation costs."
