DNR Katy Trail ride wrap-up

The Columbia Tribune had a major article Sunday wrapping up the Department of Natural Resources' annual Katy Trail Ride:
Nearly 300 riders participated in the 2006 Katy Trail Ride — the theme of which was "Catch the Katy" — from June 19 to 23. Similar trail rides along other routes have for some time been a part of the Department of Natural Resources’ repertoire. In the summer of 2000, though, because of its popularity, the Katy became home to the annual cross-state journey, said Melanie Robinson, coordinator of the ride.

"I think that it’s a really inexpensive vacation," she said. "We have a lot of things to see."
