I'd like to alert cyclists in the St. Louis metro area to continuing FREE Road I classes being offered by the City of Ferguson, assisted by a federal grant. This is the last year of the grant and the classes are being offered FREE for this final year to encourage as much participation as possible.I highly recommend these classes. You do learn a lot and what's more they are a lot of fun. Even experienced bicyclists learn a lot--most of the MBF board has now taken Road I.
Students are currently being enrolled in League of American Bicyclist-based Bike Ed. classroom sessions for next week and I'd like to invite you to join them. The total classroom time is 4 hours with 8 hours of on-bike instruction to follow (usually two weekend mornings, e.g. Sat. or Sun. a week or so apart).
Please let me know without delay if you can attend. Details below:
TIME: Monday July 10 and Wednesday July 12 from 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm [inc. 30 min. for setup/food/drink]
PLACE: Soma's Coffeehouse, 23 South Florissant Road, Ferguson, MO 63135
[on-line location at https://www.mapquest.com/maps?address=N+Florissant+Rd+%26+January+Ave&city=Saint+Louis&state=MO&zipcode=63135 ]
