posted by Brent Hugh at 9/25/2006 07:53:00 PM
JEFFERSON CITY, MO, SEPT. 25, 2006 -- The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will hold an open house Saturday, Oct. 7, to discuss issues related to the section of Katy Trail State Park from Matson to Portland. The open house will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Katy Trail State Park's trailhead at Dutzow.

Staff from Graham Cave State Park, which oversees maintenance of this section of Katy Trail State Park, will be on hand to answer questions concerning the park and current operating plans. Information about volunteer opportunities will be available. The public is invited to share comments and ask questions about the park and its operations.
The open house is part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure that the public has input on services offered in state parks and historic sites.

Katy Trail State Park's Dutzow trailhead is located off of Highway 94 in Dutzow. Individuals requiring special services or accommodations to attend the meeting can make arrangements by calling Graham Cave State Park at (573) 564-3476 or the department toll free at 1-800-334-6946 (voice) or 1-800-379-2419 (Telecommunications Device for the Deaf).
