Missouri Bicycle Federation members and supporters,
Thanks to YOUR support, MoBikeFed's summer membership and fund raising drive was a big success.
Our goals were:
If you have joined, renewed, or donated recently, your receipt and membership information is in the mail or will be soon (the Tour of Missouri, BikeMO, and the really huge influx of new memberships has set us behind our usual schedule for sending out receipts--but we are catching up right now).
Every new member makes MoBikeFed stronger and moves forward the cause of better, safer bicycling and walking in Missouri.
Your support--and cooperation and joint work with bicycling, walking, and running organizations across Missouri--have moved forward programs and issues like these:

Your support--and cooperation and joint work with bicycling, walking, and running organizations across Missouri--have moved forward programs and issues like these:
- First ever Advocacy Day at the Missouri Capitol
- Largest contingent of Missourians ever at the National Bike Summit--enabling effective working relationships with several Missouri Senators and Representatives in the U.S. Congress
- Presentations to the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission about the need for better, safer walking and bicycling facilities in Missouri (MHTC is the "ruling body" of MoDOT)
- Work with the highest levels of government, the Governor's and Lieutenant Governor's offices, the Missouri Division of Tourism, and MoDOT, to help make the first annual Tour of Missouri the largest and most successful bicycle event in the history of Missouri
- Powerful grass roots citizen advocacy responses on numerous projects across Missouri
- Forward movement in MoDOT policy for drain grates and rumble strips
- Better, more effective spending of your transportation money. MoBikeFed board members sit on committees that have given over $20,000,000 in transportation grants over the past 18 months or so. MoBikeFed representatives do our best to make sure that money is spent in the best, most effective way to actually make walking and bicycling safer and more available as a realistic transportation choice in Missouri.
