Kansas City Trails Plan moves forward

Shannon Jaax of the Kansas City, MO, Planning and Development Department forwarded the following announcement September 17th:
Yesterday, the City Plan Commission (CPC) unanimously approved the Trails KC Plan. Staff would like to thank all those who attended the hearing to find out more about the Plan and to express their support for trails in Kansas City. We also received close to 40 letters of support from individuals and community organizations which we shared with the CPC members. The feedback and comments the community have contributed throughout this process have been critical to the development of the overall Plan, and your participation is appreciated.

The CPC's recommendation will move forward to City Council's Planning and Zoning Committee. Staff will also present the Plan to the Parks Board for their consideration. Meeting dates have not yet been set, but I will send out a notice once they are confirmed.
