Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009, the House Transportation Committee will hear testimony about the proposed automobile license plate for Missouri bicycling.
The specialty license plates could be purchased for your car would show support for bicycling and raise money for bicycle safety and education. This bill would put Missouri among about 20 other states that have a license plate in support of bicycling, including Ohio, Colorado, Florida, Washington, South Carolina, and Virginia. If you'd like to show support for the bill, a quick email to members of the House Transportation Committee. You can also sign up on MoBikeFed's list of people interested in purchasing the license plates. The final specialty license plates might look something like this:
