Thanks to the good work of dozens of supporters from all across Missouri who attended Bicycle Day at the Capitol, we've seen these good signs of progress in the past week and a half:
- HB 642, Complete Streets, committee hearing last Tuesday
- HB 590, specialty license plate in support of bicycling, hearing last Tuesday
- SB 368, Dead Red for bicyclists & motorcyclists, passed Senate Transportation Committee Wed. & on Senate Consent Calendar
- Rep. John Burnett has introduced the Safe Streets bill (higher penalties for those drivers who injure or kill)
- Sen. Schaefer will soon introduce a bicycle month resolution in the Senate
- Rep. Will Kraus will soon introduce a bicycle month resolution in the House
That's a lot of results for one day of visits!
