According to Laura Dierenfield of Peoples Advocacy for Trails Hawaii, Hawaii’s Governor Linda Lingle
signed the Hawaii Complete Streets Bill into law this week.
The bill sets the Complete Streets policy and calls for formation of a joint state-county-advocacy task force to work on implementation of design standards for state and county roadways. A copy of the bill is
online here (PDF).
With less than a week left in Missouri's legislative session, will our
Complete Streets Bill pass this year?
It's still possible. You can help by calling or emailing
your own Missouri senator and asking him to support the Complete Streets Bill (originally HB 642 but now included in several of the proposed omnibus transportation bills), sponsored by Rep. Mike Sutherland.
