Crime Beat from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch is reporting that two pedestrians were hit Saturday, and one of them killed:
A St. Louis woman was killed Saturday night after being struck on Interstate 70 at Salisbury Street, police said. . . .
In an unrelated crash Saturday, police said a 51-year-old man was in critical condition after being hit on a sidewalk in the 8300 block of Halls Ferry Road.
Police said the driver, a woman, 23, dropped a cell phone inside her minivan, lost control and struck the man. . . .
The woman who dropped her cell phone was charged with careless and imprudent driving.
