According to the Complete Streets Festus-Crystal City Facebook page, the Festus, Missouri, city council has officially adopted a Complete Streets policy.

Nearby Crystal City is also working on a Complete Streets policy.

On the other side of the state, Lee's Summit's new Livable Streets initiative is working towards a Complete Streets policy, as well.

These cities join the cities of St Louis, Columbia, De Soto, and Ferguson, as well as the St Louis area and St Joseph area Metropolitan Planning Organizations, all of which have adopted Complete Streets policies.

MoBikeFed's Vision for Bicycling and Walking in Missouri includes goals for Complete Streets policies in Missouri municipalities, planning organizations, and the state as a whole.

MoDOT has been tracking Missourians attitudes towards accommodating bicycling and walking, and their current research shows that a majority of Missourians support inclusion of bicycle and pedestrian facilities in projects--even if the cost is up to 25% of the project, and even if doing so diverts funds from other projects.
