Route announcement: BikeMO St. Louis-Dutchtown Classic Community Bike Ride May 13th
BikeMO St. Louis-Dutchtown Classic Community Bike Ride is a FREE bike ride in St. Louis Sunday morning, May 13th, sponsored by MoBikeFed.
The Community Ride is part of a whole day of community events May 13th, the day of the Dutchtown Classic pro bike race, which itself is part of the multi-day Missouri Professional Cycling Series.
We are pleased to announced three great routes for the Community Bike Ride, designed by St. Louis cyclist and MoBikeFed member Bob Chekoudjian.
All routes start and end near the corner of Virginia Ave and Meramec St, Saint Louis in the expo area of Dutchtown Classic race.
The routes are designed to showcase bicycle routes on the Bike St. Louis system and some of the trails and greenways created by Great Rivers Greenway and others--the type of bicycle routes and facilities that MoBikeFed's statewide advocacy helps create and support.

14 mile route
This relatively flat route takes you through downtown St. Louis on a beautiful, low-traffic Sunday morning, then along the riverfront and through historic Soulard, then back to the Dutchtown area--which gets its name from the Germans or "Dutch" who settled this part of St. Louis in the early 19th Century.
27 mile route
This route includes all of the 13 mile route, but also takes you south of Dutchtown for another view of the Mississippi River, a circumnavigation of Carondelet Park, and short stretch on the River Des Peres Greenway, and routes through the historic neighborhoods in that area.
41 mile route
The 42 mile route include most of the high points of the 13 and 27 mile routes, but also takes you north and west along the beautiful River Des Peres Greenway, along a short section of historic Route 66, and through Forest Park before returning to the Dutchtown area.
Join us Sunday, May 13th, for the FREE BikeMO St. Louis-Dutchtown Classic Community Bike Ride--and choose any of these three beautiful and historic routes to enjoy that day.
