Healthy Nevada: First annual Tour of Nevada scheduled for this weekend
Around 150 cyclists are expected to roll into Nevada for the first Tour of Nevada cycling races this weekend.
The Tour of Nevada, sponsored by Cerner, will take place on two different courses.
The Downtown Criterium races start at 4:30 Saturday afternoon on the Nevada Square, with a course that circles the downtown area. The Square and the rest of the course will be closed to traffic at 3 p.m. to get everything set up and will re-open late Saturday night after the final race ends around 11.
The Schoolyard Criterium begins at 9 a.m. Sunday. The race starts on Hickory Street in front of the high school and circles the school. The course will be closed to traffic at 7 a.m. and will reopen late Sunday afternoon after the last race.
