BikeMO 2013 coming up Saturday - what's new with our annual ride this year?
Submitted by Brent Hugh on Tue, 08/20/2013 - 7:45am
BikeMO, our annual ride in mid Missouri, is coming up this Saturday. The ride starts at 8am Saturday, August 24th, at the Les Bourgeois Winery in Rocheport.
Find out all the details--or pre-register, saving $5--on the BikeMO web site.
What's new for 2013?
- Updated route - beautiful, rural roads that take you to historic Booneville, Arrow Rock, and (new for 2013) Blackwater. These historic towns are embracing BikeMO and are looking forward to greeting you Saturday!
- After-Party at Les Bourgeois Winery - Enjoy lunch and music along with tasty beer and wine from Les Bourgeois. If you opt for our Les Bourgeois lunch special, you'll get $4 off every bottle of wine or $1 off each glass--a whopper of a deal!
Remember that you can invite your non-riding friends and family to the After-Party--and you can even purchase our special lunch deal for your non-riding friends.
- New (optional) King of the Mountains Competition - we've staked out five of the best climbs on the route, and we'll see who are the best hill climbers in the group! The five climbs are marked on the route; if you want to participate, just record your times using the Strava app. All details and instructions here.
- We've moved the start time back just a little (8am) to make it easier to drive out that morning from all different parts of the state (though you're welcome to stay overnight in the area as well)
The ride features 30, 65, and 90 mile road options, as well as a 28 mile Katy Trail option.
Come out and join us on the beautiful and historic roads of central Missouri!
