Walk to School Day coming soon - how to get stated organizing your local event

International Walk to School Day is October 8th, 2014 and the entire month of October is International Walk to School Month.
Need some help getting started with planning your local Walk to School Day? It's easy and fun. The main steps to planning your local WTSD are:
- Set a date and time--any time during October (International Walk to School Month) is fine.
- Designate a place to for students, parents, teachers, and school staff to meet, and a route to walk to the school.
- Create a simple flyer the school can distribute to the students and an announcement the principal can read during school announcements.
- Show up, walk to school, and have fun!
