In partnership with the Katy Trail the Rock Island Trail will create a 400 mile loop through the state, running on both sides of the Missouri River.

A membership meeting for a group working to support development of the trail, the Missouri Rock Island Trail, Inc (MoRIT) will be March 5 at 6 p.m. at the Missouri Parks and Recreation Association headquarters, 2018 Williams Street, Jefferson City, MO.

At the membership meeting the group will elect a board of directors.
