After another pedestrian accident, a family seeks safer downtown streets : News

Headlines are quick hits from media outlets from Missouri and around the world. Follow the headline link for the full story. The source of this headline says:

Katherine Dubis went to a Blues game with her boyfriend two months ago.

But as the young couple walked back to the car, a vehicle crossing Olive Street hit them, killing Dubis, 23, in the roadway and sending her boyfriend, Chris Kozemczak, to the hospital. . . .

Dubis’ parents, Tracy and Crist Dubis, are now calling for an overhaul of downtown traffic safety, especially following public events like hockey games. They want more street lights, more traffic cops and big, bright billboards reminding drivers: Slow down. Yield to pedestrians.
