MoBikeFed comment: One of the Amtrak routes that has offered roll-on service for nearly two decades is the Missouri River Runner--which started offering the service after advocacy from MoBikeFed leaders in the 1990s.

Bicycle roll-on service is close to universal and very commonly used on railroads across Europe. Amtrak is still struggling to bring the convenient service to a few more routes--but it is good to see them working, even if slowly, to improve bicycle access to the Amtrak network.
