July is Bicycle Missouri License Plate renewal time - how to renew your plates
Almost 500 Missourians now celebrate the joy of bicycling with their Bicycle Missouri license plates.
July is renewal month for most specialty plates. Some heavy trucks have a December expiration date.
If you already have plates and they expire this year, you will need to obtain an "Emblem Use Certificate" to renew your plates. It is easy--you can do it online and receive your Emblem Use Certificate by email in just a few minutes.
Details about renewing your Bicycle Missouri License Plates
You can renew your plates online and receive the Emblem Use Certificate via email within a few minutes. It is a three-step process:
- Click here to visit our online license plate renewal page ($30 one year/$55 two year renewal).
- You'll receive an email message with link to download and print your Emblem Use Certificate.
- Include the Emblem Use Certificate with your other license registration materials when you renew your vehicle registration.
Two notes:
- Whether you can order a 2 year plate renewal depends on Department of Revenue regulations. You can always opt to receive a one-year renewal, but in certain years you can choose a two-year renewal: "Vehicle owners may only obtain two year-registration for an even model year vehicle in an even calendar year, or for an odd model year vehicle in an odd calendar year." More details on the Department of Revenue web site.
- Because of the requirements for how we can spend the proceeds from the Bicycle Missouri License Plate, we keep plate donations entirely separate from MoBikeFed membership. We hope you will also keep your MoBikeFed membership current!
Thanks for supporting bicycling in Missouri with your Bicycle Missouri Plates!
