MoBikeFed comment: Springfield Brewing Company has been an amazing supporter of Springfield's bicycling community. Now they are branching out in a new way, with a community bike shop.The Springfield Brewing Company's Cycling Community Bike Repair/Rental Shop will open at the Fairbanks this spring. The shop will be open 6-8 p.m. on Wednesdays and noon-2 p.m. on Sundays.
The program is geared towards helping kids with simple repairs, bike cleaning, access to spare parts and bicycle education along with providing adults with transportation issues assistance.
The community bike shop is looking for community support in the form of volunteers, donated bikes and helmets, and other support.
