Jefferson City to improve bicycle & pedestrian access on Missouri Blvd - one of the top projects in the statewide Bike/Ped Priority List - ABC17

n another big project for 2017, crews will construct sidewalks on the north side of Missouri Boulevard from Southwest Boulevard to Waverly Street.

The project to improve bicycle and pedestrian safety will cost nearly $350,000.

"That project is also going to include four bus shelters and some bike racks there too," Sanders said. "We're also adding two signalized crosswalks."

Since 2010, MoDOT and agencies across the state have been slowly chipping away at projects on that list.

The improvements to Missouri Boulevard have been long awaited and are much needed.
