Several phases of Warrensburg Spirit Trail connection to Knob Noster State Park finally going to bid this spring | dailystarjournal.com

Headlines are quick hits from media outlets from Missouri and around the world. Follow the headline link for the full story. The source of this headline says:

Jerany Jackson, Great Rivers Engineering design project engineer, said bids will be opened March 30 for the Spirit Trail extension and taken under advisement to assure specifications are met. . . .

“We’re looking at the first part of May for the notice to proceed,” she said.

The more than four-mile project extends the current trail from Lake Ridge subdivision to Knob Noster State Park. . . .

The project “significantly changed” since the previous bid letting, which involved only the first phase, she said, and now includes several phases.

MoBikeFed comment: The Spirit Trail Coalition has been working more than 5 years to complete this section of trail, which will eventually link Warrensburg and Whiteman Air Force Base via Knob Noster State Park.
