Your feedback needed! Ozark National Scenic Riverways proposes mountain biking trails for first time!

Headlines are quick hits from media outlets from Missouri and around the world. Follow the headline link for the full story. The source of this headline says:

Ozark National Scenic Riverways was created back in the 1970s and has dozens of miles of trails--but NO mountain biking trails.

Now ONSR has released three possible trail alternatives, and two of the three include mountain biking options.

The public comment period is open November 17 through December 15th, 2017. Please take a moment to submit a public comment, and let ONSR know that you support mountain biking in ONSR strongly.

We suggest asking that they support Alternative C, which allows mountain biking on two trails plus a segment of the Ozark Trail.

In addition, we suggest asking ONSR to investigate creation of mountain biking connections even beyond Alternative C.

The Ozark Trail section of the ONSR is one of the biggest mountain biking disconnects on the entire Ozark Trail. ONSR connects to 88 miles of mountain bikeable trail to the south and west of ONSR, and potentiall connects to dozens more miles of mountain bikeable Ozark Trail to the north.

ONSR should do its utmost to create mountain biking connections between those two areas.
