Tour de Cure/Wheel to Weston is a one-day cycling fundraising event. In 2007, 300 riders participated in the Kansas City Tour de Cure/ Wheel to Weston to benefit the American Diabetes Association—and the 20.8 million American adults and children who cope with type 1 and type 2 diabetes every day.
Together, we raised $100,000 to fight diabetes!Money raised for the American Diabetes Association benefit diabetes research, information programs including our camp for kids with diabetes and advocacy efforts.
Details will be provided closer to the event on the exact start location for the 2008 Tour de Cure.
All routes are very well-supported, and have rest stops every 10-15 miles stocked with cold beverages and snacks. Both the 70 and 100 mile routes are designed for the advanced riders, while the 35 mile route is made to accommodate all riders.
Once you have arrived in Weston you will enjoy a great lunch and entertainment for all. Lunch will be served starting at 10:00 a.m. Invite your family to join you at the Finish in the downtown Historic Weston Missouri. Enjoy vendors, activities for kids, massage therapist, and live entertainment. Don’t forget to visit the Weston Stores while you are in town.
