Meramec Town and Wine Country Bike Day.
Registration at St. James Tourist Center I-44 exit 195 from 8 to 11. Three routes: choose one or all. Rosati Loop (40+ miles), Town Loop (5-10 miles), Vineyard Loop (13-19 miles). Passport for "town loop" with handouts at various businesses. Each registrant will be entered in a drawing taking place at 11:00 a.m. for a FREE bicycle donated by the Wal-Mart Distribution Center.
Extra feature: 1 p.m. Meramec Vineyards' Spring Vineyard Walk & "Sip the Wine at the Vine" includes appetizer, wine tasting at the vineyard. Ride bike to vineyard or drive to vineyard after doing bike ride routes. FREE to ride registrants. ($8 to non ride registrants.)
