Camp teaches children with disabilities how to bicycle - July 19-23, 2010 in Columbia

PedNet sent us the following announcement:

Lose The Training Wheels is coming to Columbia!
 
This camp teaches children and individuals with developmental disabilities how to ride a regular, two-wheeled bicycle!
 
What this means to you:

            We need participants!
            We need volunteers!
 
When:  July 19-23, 2010
Where: Columbia, MO   Gentry Middle School
 Participants must meet the following criteria:

  *Have a diagnosed disability
  *Be at least 8 years old
  *Have a minimum inseam of 20 inches
  *Weight less than 220 pounds
  *Be able to walk without an assistive device
  *Be able to side-step quickly
  *Be able and willing to wear a properly fitted helmet.

Enrollment deadline:  June 15

Cost:  $150 camp fee.  For families eligible for BCFR funding*, the fee is $75.
