Kansas City hiring bike/ped staff
The City of Kansas City is hiring three bike/ped/nutrition professionals for its new Active Living program, which includes Safe Routes to School, active transportation, healthy eating, public policy, etc.
Safer Routes KC Manager
Full-time limited term contract position with City of Kansas City, MO
for one year. Position is based in Public Works Dept and is grant
funded. Responsible for coordination and implementation of pilot safe
routes to school program; develop and manage walking/biking school bus;
gather and tabulate data, prepare written reports; conduct walking
workshops; create and implement pilot healthy lifestyle initiative.
Requires an accredited BA degree in public health, social work, urban
planning, public administration, sociology or related field and three
(3) years experience. Masters degree preferred. Salary range: $18.26 to

field and three (3) years experience. Masters degree preferred. Salary

Dietician – Active Living KC
Full-time limited term contract position with City of Kansas City, MO
for one year. Position is based in Health Dept and is grant funded.
Responsible for elementary school-based nutrition education for targeted
pilot safe routes to school initiative; work with city staff, school
administration, parents, and community partners to develop and implement
food, nutrition and health policies to support healthy lifestyles.
Experience working with school districts, food policy development and
oversight, and understanding of food systems a must. Ability to collect
and analyze data, project management, public speaking, and strong
written and verbal skills are essential. Requires a Missouri Licensed,
Registered Dietician with accredited BA degree in nutrition, dietetics,
public health, social work, public administration or related field with
three (3) years experience. Masters degree preferred. Salary range
$22.11 to $24.50 per hour. The City of Kansas City, Mo., is an equal
