Missouri lawyer publishes book about bicycles and the law

The West End Word published a story about Missouri bicyclist and lawyer Alvin Wolff:

Wolff recently published a book called The Total Guide for Motorcycle and Bicycle Accident Victims in Missouri (And the Seven Mistakes that Can Sink Your Claim). In the book Wolff details what those involved in bike-related incidents can expect to hear from insurance companies, and how to handle the ups and downs involved if it comes to filing a claim.

Wolff began practicing law in 1979 after graduating from the St. Louis University School of Law. Also a cyclist, Wolff became an avid rider 22 years ago when he could no longer run like he wanted to. “Riding a bike lets you cover a lot of territory in not a lot of time, you get fresh air, and you get some time to think,” he said.

Currently a personal injury lawyer, Wolff said he merged his loves for his work and his hobby in this handbook because he thought he could help bikers given his knowledge of the laws. The result is a book whose chapters are short and to the point, but are packed with useful tips he’s learned in his many years of experience.

Wolff presented information from his book at the St Louis Bike Expo & Swap Meet in January.
