New Belgium Brewery taking submissions for Clips of Faith film festival in KC and St. Louis

New Belgium Brewery is now taking submissions for their first Clips of Faith traveling film and beer festival.  Submit your short film now for a chance to be a part of this festival and maybe even win a trip the brewery in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Clips of Faith will stop in St. Louis on June 25th in Soulard and Kansas City on July 2nd in Theis Park near the Country Club Plaza. New Belgium plans for this to be annual event, so we look forward to a new tradition here in Missouri.  All proceeds benefit local bicycle non-profits. 

The Missouri Bicycle & Pedestrian Federation is the beneficiary of the KC event, and TrailNet is benefiting from the St. Louis event.

A nation wide report by NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) states, "28% of pedacyclists killed had a BAC of 0.01 g/dL or higher and nearly one-fourth (23%) had a BAC of 0.08 g/dL or higher." Don't forget to have a designated driver/rider.

Good point . . . it's surprising how many bicycle fatalities are alcohol related. One reason, I think, is because many people choose to bicycle to the bar because they don't want to drive after drinking.
