St. Joseph trail system could expand to adjacent cities

A new study will consider expanding St. Joseph's city-wide trail network to adjacent cities in Northwest Missouri.

St. Joseph's Urban Trail System is an extensive network linking neighborhoods with parks, schools, and other amenities. A new regional study will look at opportunities for expanding the system northward to Savannah and ultimately to other communities in Northwest Missouri and even south to Kansas City.

The idea would extend St. Joseph’s Urban Trail north from Karnes Road along the old Chicago & Northwestern Railroad right of way to the Savannah city limit.
