Tour de Parkland
15 Mile or 29 Mile Parkland Medical Center "Family Pride Ride" Decide at the 9 mile marker if you need more of a challenge or return to the Mineral Area College Campus for a nice leisurely 15 Miler. The 29 Mile ride continues into St. Joe Park and will feature some hills along the way. One ride, one price ($5.00), two great routes with frequent rest area, rest rooms & refreshments. Free T-shirt to all riders 16 & under compliments of Parkland Medical Center of Farmington and Bonne Terre. A Great Family Experience or first time group ride.
58 Mile "Just Another Ride!" is more of an adventure ride with young singles & the young at heart in mind. Sponsored by the US TOOL Corporation and the Wal Mart Stores of Desloge & Farmington, this ride offers many options. Enjoy a picnic on top of Knob Lick Mountain, continue the ride to the "Offsets" for a thrilling ride on one of three zip lines available, attend and/or participate in the regularly scheduled Sunday Mooring Worship Services available at the famous Plummer Family Theater, or just experience the challenge of the group ride into neighboring Madison Co. Plan to stay at the "Offsets" and spend the afternoon? That's O.K. too. Just let us know that you will end your ride at the "Offsets". Sorry, we can Not provide you with transportation back to the starting pt. Cost is $25 to participate in this ride. (Includes T-shirt but not Zip Line) ADD $15 to reserve a ride on the Zip Lines at the Offsets.
87 Mile Ameren UE Ride travels from the Mineral Area College Campus to the top of Taum Sauk Mt., the highest point in Missouri. The ride is challenging, educational and fun. Sights include historical Iron Co. Court House, Fort Davidson Civil War sight, Taum Sauk look out tower, Lake Kilarney and some beautiful scenery and scapes along the way. Rest areas, refreshments, cooling stations and support personnel at approximately 20 mile intervals. Return is an easier route on lower traffic roads. Fee is$30 OR $35 after 9/4.
All rides begin and end at the Mineral Area College in Park Hillsl Must register by September 4th to guarantee a T-shirt.
