Importance:
Extending the shoulders of Icon Rd, Hwy V and Main St. would make a much needed connection for bicycle and pedestrian traffic on the West side of town. Many bicyclist like to ride the shoulders of Hwy 71 and making a safe connection to Hwy 71 from the West side of Maryville would benefit many individuals. This project would also connect to an existing bicycle path on Country Club Road on the North end of town.
