Description:
4 bridge decks are being replaced in the metro in the next few years, making the installation of bike friendly grates easy to accomplish. There are 12 others in the metro that don't have friendly grates, including Faraon, Pickett, N. 169 Bridge over I-29, Rt. 6 over I-29 & 102 River, Mitchell over I-29, K Hwy. over I-229 and near Amazonia.

Importance:
Some of these routes have shoulders suitable for biking, but the bridges have either no shoulder with unsafe grates or wide shoulders with unsafe grates. It's a relatively small investment to make various corridors safe for bikers if shoulders are already in place.
