Description:
Clifton Hill is a very small community with very limited resources. This has been a project need for many years. Our community has applied for some other grants but has not been successful in obtaining them. The sidewalks in our community are literally falling into the road. As MoDOT comes and cleans out the ditches along MO Route 3 the fill dirt that is under the sidewalks simply fills the ditches back in. This process has continued over the years and our sidewalks have failed because there is no longer any support under the concrete. We would like to see some small retaining walls built and then have our sidewalks dug out and replaced. The worst areas are in an approximately 300 foot section in town.

Importance:
This project is extremely important to the community and would be a wonderfully motivating project for the town. This project would not cost too much and could be done relatively quickly. It also is important to note that without some of these sidewalks the kids that walk or bike to school everyday are having to walk or bike on MO Route 3 creating a safety hazard.
