Description:
Highway 185 from Sullivan to Meramec State Park has little or no shoulders for emergency use or for bicyclists traveling to/from/through the state park. The road can be congested making biking unsafe.

Importance:
Safety of bicyclists is a concern and an improved shoulder(s) along the road will assist in safety. The improvements from the state park to Vine Street would help meet those goals. Vine Street is being improved with STP funds within the next year.

Obstacles:
The willingness of DNR-State Parks to make it happen could be an obstacle.
