Description:
Recognizing Clayton Road as a significant Cycling corridor, up grade Clayton Road for its entire length to more safely accommodate cyclists. Stripe bike lanes where possible and provide "bike slots" at all intersections with special emphasis on the intersection with Rt. 141.

Importance:
This is simply a recognition that there are significant numbers of cyclists using Clayton Road. The upgrades will be relatively inexpensive in that it mostly involves striping or re-striping particularly at intersections. These are safety measures to make the route more predictable for cyclists and motorists alike.

Obstacles:
Clayton Road in certain sections is the responsibility of the various cities through which it passes. An agreement would be required with all jurisdictions.
