Description:
Adding shoulders (3 to 5 foot wide) on Highway N from intersection of highway 21 to city limits of Bismarck (10 miles). This would eliminate at least ten drop off areas at edge of roadway which are dangerous for motor vehicles and bicycles.

Importance:
This is a part of the Trans America Bicycle Trail as it proceeds through MoDOT district 10. It is noted as being dangerous by cyclists who are ridig through the area. There is a trap rock quarry located along this highway and there are large trucks on the roadway each day Monday through Friday. This is an extremely dangerous situation that could be remedied.

Obstacles:
There has not been a shoulder along this roadway in the past. In places might be a right of way issue.
