Three years ago, Jackie Carl toyed with the idea of riding her bike to work, but it seemed like too long of a haul.
"That first year I never actually did it," said Carl, who teaches at Central High School. "But as soon as school let out I started riding a bike to lose weight. First it was one mile. Then I did two. When I got comfortable riding five miles, I decided to give it a try."
