Pedestrian, cyclist safety & access concerns for new Columbia I-70 interchange - Columbia Daily Tribune | Columbia Missouri: Street Talk

Headlines are quick hits from media outlets from Missouri and around the world. Follow the headline link for the full story. The source of this headline says:

The roundabout being built at I-70 Drive S.W. calls for a multi-use path for pedestrians and bicyclists. The path runs along the outside of the roundabout, meaning people using it will not have to cross the exits cars use. A nearby sidewalk crosses Business Loop 70 by Aldi. The plan does not call for a lighted pedestrian cross signal similar to the one on Broadway near College Avenue by Stephens College.

“That would be really tough to get past four lanes of traffic,” board member Gary Ennis said.
