The due date has been extended for an upcoming grant opportunity for cities and agencies who want to start working towards adopting a Complete Streets policy, a citywide bike/ped master plan, or multimodal design guidelines.
The grant deadline was March 23rd. It has been extended to April 8th.
The grant is for $10,000.
It is a planning grant, and the end product by September 28th, 2020, will be a plan and timeline for how to move forward for their community to adopt a Complete Streets Policy, a bike/ped master plan, and/or multimodal design guidelines.
The outcome of this grant will not be completion of any of those policies--but rather, it will be a plan and timeline outlining how to move forward towards adoption of those plans and policies. This is a good first step for communities who want to move towards more of a Complete Streets approach.
The grant can be used, for example, to hire a consultant to organize meetings, talk to stakeholders, draft the strategic plan and timeline, and in short, to do most of the heavy lifting to draft and develop the plan and timeline.
