Description:
Add shoulders to northbound Bus. 71 and widen bridges over I-29 (north and south bound - 3' shoulders) to accommodate existing pedestrian and bicycle access in corridor.

Importance:
The project is an easy one. Paved shoulders already exist for southbound traffic and shoulders are in place for northbound, they just aren't paved. The project links three communities in the metro for one of the most popular on-road routes for bikers and supports pedestrian traffic in the Village. Although shoulders are not ideal for walking, it can suffice until the corridor is further developed. Would be great to actually have the shoulders marked as a bike lane. The road itself is already programmed in the TIP for an overlay.
