Improve bicycle access to and across the Discovery Bridge (Hwy 370) across the Missouri River near St Charles.

Importance:
This bridge is a key connection in the St Louis area across the Missouri River and is also used as part of the national Mississippi River Trail. The bridge itself has good shoulders but access on either end has difficulties.

Obstacles:
Making any substantial widening or improvements to the shoulder would be quite costly but making some incremental improvements could be quite inexpensive and very helpful. If funding can be found to create a separated path linking trails and bike/ped networks on both sides of the river, this will be a project of local, regional, statewide, and national importance.
