The bridge over the Meramec river in Route 66 State Park needs extensive structural repair.

Importance:
1. Crossing the Meramec River in this area as a pedestrian or cyclist requires using the Interstate 44 bridge. 2. The Great Rivers Greenway District's Meramec Greenway project will be very limited in it's future development without the use of this bridge. 3. Reunites the Route 66 State Park with the visitor center. 4. Wide range of public interest.

Obstacles:
It must be done soon before it collapses.
