Description:
There is a great deal of cycling activity on both sides of the Missouri River in Chesterfield, with the Katy Trail on the West and the Monarch levee system, Babler State Park and Wild Horse Creek Road on the East. However there is no way to cross the river safely for cyclists. Either a cantilvered bikeway/walkway or one beneath one span or the other would provide a much needed link between existing systems.
Importance:
Provides badly needed connection between existing cycling hotspots
Obstacles:
None. This should be done under federal law.
