Continuation of Riverfront Bike path through Soulard, St Louis (06STL1140)

City: St. Louis.    Route: Choteau, 3rd Street, Lafayette, 9th Street, 12th Street    Location: From LK Sullivan Drive at Choteau south to Jefferson Barracks

Description:
Complete the proposed bike path through Soulard as introduced by City Streets dept in 2008.

Importance:
Soulard is a huge bike destination with the Farmers' Market, the restaurants and shops. Making a viable bike loop through the neighborhood will encourage more two wheel traffic in this vibrant neighborhood. Sidewlak repairs for Pedestrian traffic should accompany the bike lanes.

Obstacles:
3rd Street is partly vacated to the Nooter Corp (I believe) and other coporations. PLease contact 7th Ward Alderwoman Phyllis Young for more deatils. YoungP@stlouiscity.com.
