Description:
Our proposed project includes construction of ADA compliant sidewalks and ramps which will create a safe pedestrian route of travel from our civic center (City Hall and Town Square area) to our retail destination areas in the vicinity of Austin Boulevard and Barrett Road.

Importance:
The City of Nevada has been working with the local ADA Advisory Board, members of the community with disabliites and respresentatives from entities which provide services to these individuals and they all agree this is the most accessible and cost effective route. The sidewalks will conform to the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Standards, Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards and the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines.

Obstacles:
We have been working on getting this route established since 2006 and we can't forsee any obstacles other than lack of funding. We would appreciate your consideration on this worthy project.
